Hi all, I recently switched from Mac to Windows and I have Microsoft Word 2016. My work requires editing documents and often inserting comments to make long suggestions. On my Mac, I configured 'Insert Comment' to Ctrl+G. I want to do the same on here, but I can't find 'Insert Comment' in the Commands when I go to customize keyboard shortcuts. There's all kinds of other commands but Insert Comment is not one of them (there's InsertInk Comment.is that the same? I tried it and it didn't work). Is there still a way to do this?
Having a keyboard shortcut for inserting a comment would save me so much time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Adam. Yes you can do that but it is not intuitive, Insert Comment is on the Insert Ribbon, but is not there in the dialog to change the keyboard shortcut.
Click File - Options On the resulting dialog in the Customize Ribbon Tab at the bottom click Keyboard Shortcuts - 'Customize' In the left pane select Review Tab In the right hand list scroll down and select 'Insert Annotation' You will see the default Alt + Ctrl + M Enter your required keys in the box on the right Click Assign and close the dialog Power to the Developer!
